"T" blocks, dated UFO, and nifty tweezers from Elaine Adair Pieces

 

 

I'm machine quilting this queen-sized project.  My piecing was good, but quilting is difficult because it's a large quilt.  I like small pieces,  although quilting over the many seams is a challenge.  I've found it best to use a hopping foot and an overall quilting design because those seams get in the way of smooth traveling with a ruler foot or other options.  It's not like what we see on the videos.  The real subject of interest is those nifty tweezers, a gift from last quilt retreat.  The tips are flat meaning they can get close ...

achy breaky head . . . from Count it *all* JOY!

So.  This was the first morning in sixteen days (sixteen looooong days) that I've woken up without a nagging headache. Bliss! I was so relieved that I didn't even mind going in to work!  LOL! Happy September!!

It's been a long time since I've had a headache that persistent. increasing my fiber . . . from Count it *all* JOY!

Over the weekend I was very thready. I sorted through all the floss I've accumulated (some from the estate sale) . . . it was a huge hodge podge in multiple containers (or not):
A mess. And even after I'd sorted most of it out, I still had this unsightly tangle to deal with . . .
And I actually did tackle and tame it!
Now I just need to purchase more floss cards so I can wrap it (and it can stay relatively tidy).
